PREEVŪ vs PreviewMD · Verified August 2026

A PREEVŪ alternative where the patient belongs to your practice.

PREEVŪ is sold to patients first: they buy it for $29 to $99, preview 45+ procedures on their own photo, then choose a surgeon from PREEVŪ’s directory of 2,776 practices. Its practice product runs in the consult room. PreviewMD is sold only to practices and runs on your own website, where the visitor becomes your lead before they have seen anything.

PREEVŪ

What is PREEVŪ?

PREEVŪ, from XALON LLC, is a patient-facing simulator sold directly to consumers: $29 for a 90-day pass, $9.99 a month or $99 for life, with a free analysis needing no account. It covers 45+ procedures and subtypes and renders post-operative, healing and fully recovered views.

Around it sits a surgeon directory the patient browses after previewing, plus a separate practice product for the consult room where the surgeon sets the procedure in clinical units. iOS and Android apps ship alongside the site. Read 19 August 2026.

What PREEVŪ does well

Range and staging. 45+ procedures against our short validated list, and three recovery views that answer the question every patient asks and that we do not currently address at all.

The practice offering states HIPAA and a business associate agreement plainly on its surgeon page, which is a stronger public position than most of this category takes.

Where PREEVŪ falls short

The patient is the customer. They buy it, keep the result and then choose a surgeon from PREEVŪ’s directory, so the relationship starts with PREEVŪ rather than with a practice.

No preview on your own website. The practice product runs in the consult room, after the patient has already arrived, and its price is quoted rather than published.

What PREEVŪ costs

PREEVŪ publishes its patient pricing in full and quotes the practice side. Both numbers matter, because the patient plans are what put the product in your prospect’s hands before you meet them.

First-party

Patient pricing is public: a $29 one-time Decision Pass giving unlimited simulations for 90 days, a $9.99 a month Individual plan with 5 simulations, and $99 once for Lifetime access at 5 a month. A free analysis needs no account. Read on 19 August 2026.

First-party

Practice pricing is not published. Their surgeon page routes to a 15-minute demo booking and states ten team seats on one flat rate, same-week onboarding, and HIPAA with a BAA. Read on 19 August 2026.

First-party

Their surgeon page claims 2,776 practices listed in the directory; their patient homepage claims 2,831 healthcare professionals. Both were read on 19 August 2026 and we have quoted each as published rather than reconciling them.

PreviewMD

What is PreviewMD?

PreviewMD is sold only to practices and there is no patient-facing product at all. Someone already on your website uploads one front-facing photo, and about three to four minutes later sees a photorealistic, anatomically correct before and after of themselves, under your branding, on your domain. The facelift simulator and the rhinoplasty simulator are covered, with the full list on the simulators page.

Their name and email reach your CRM before the result appears on screen, so the enquiry is yours whether or not they like what they see. The photo is processed for that preview and never stored.

The widget as a patient meets it on your site. Your branding, your domain, and the privacy answer stated up front. Elite removes the PreviewMD mark entirely.

What PreviewMD does well

Nobody discovers you through us. There is no directory, no consumer app and no marketplace, because every preview we render happens on a practice’s own site and belongs to that practice.

A short list, each one corrected by a practicing plastic surgeon until the anatomy behaved, rather than a broad list validated by nobody in particular. That is a deliberate trade and it is the one we would defend.

Where PreviewMD falls short

PREEVŪ covers 45+ procedures and PreviewMD covers far fewer. They render recovery stages and we render one result. They have a consumer audience and mobile apps and a surgeon directory, none of which we have or plan. If breadth or reach is what you are buying, we are the smaller product and we would rather you knew that from us.

What PreviewMD costs

$249 per month for Starter with 150 previews included, $449 for Pro with 500, $999 for Elite with 1,200. Extra previews are a flat $1.00 each and the widget never shuts off mid-month. Annual billing is two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, card up front, cancel anytime. No setup fee, no per-patient fee, no hardware.

Which should your practice choose?

Choose PREEVŪ if

You want to be listed where patients are already browsing.
Breadth matters more than depth: 45+ procedures against two.
You want recovery-stage views to set expectations.
A consult-room tool is the gap, not your website.

Choose PreviewMD if

You would rather not hand the patient relationship to a directory.
You want the enquiry captured on your own site, under your name.
You want the render corrected by a surgeon rather than broadened.
You want your market closed to competitors contractually.

How switching from PREEVŪ works

These are not really substitutes and a practice could reasonably run both: PREEVŪ to be visible where patients browse, PreviewMD to convert the traffic already arriving at your own site. They touch different people at different moments.

If you are choosing one, the question is where your prospects come from. If they find you through search and land on your website, PreviewMD works on that traffic. If you are trying to reach patients before they have chosen a practice at all, a directory does something we deliberately do not.

Questions

The questions buyers ask.

Is PreviewMD a PREEVŪ alternative?

For a practice that wants previews on its own website, yes, and they are not really competing for that. PREEVŪ’s main product is bought by the patient and its practice product runs in the consult room. PreviewMD is bought only by practices and runs on your site, where the visitor becomes your lead. If what you want is a directory listing and a consult-room tool, PREEVŪ is built for that and we are not.

Who owns the patient relationship?

That is the question worth asking of any consumer-facing simulator. With PREEVŪ the patient buys the product, keeps the result and then browses a directory of 2,776 practices, so the relationship begins with PREEVŪ. With PreviewMD the patient only ever meets your practice: the widget sits on your domain under your branding, and their details reach your CRM before the preview appears.

How much does PREEVŪ cost?

For a patient, $29 once for a 90-day Decision Pass, $9.99 a month, or $99 once for lifetime access at five simulations a month, with a free analysis that needs no account. For a practice, it is quoted: their surgeon page books a 15-minute demo and publishes no figure. Read 19 August 2026.

Does PREEVŪ put a preview on my practice website?

Not per their own materials as of 19 August 2026. Their practice product is described as running in the consult room, with the surgeon setting the procedure in clinical units while the patient is present, and their patient-facing product is their own app and site. A preview on your own domain, working on a visitor who has not contacted you, is the job PreviewMD is built for.
