PreviewMD integrates with Plausible.
Plausible is the analytics a privacy-minded practice picks on purpose. PreviewMD reports to it from our own servers, so both events arrive whether or not the patient is still on the page when their picture is ready. One setup step in Plausible catches people out.

Under the hood
Create the goals first, or Plausible shows you nothing.
Plausible treats custom events differently from page views, and this is the thing that catches practices out. An event only appears in your dashboard once a goal exists whose name matches it exactly, capitalisation included, created under Site Settings. Until that goal exists the events still arrive and Plausible displays none of them. It also does not go back and fill them in afterwards, so anything received before the goal was created stays uncounted permanently. The order matters, then. Create both goals first, named previewmd_preview_completed and previewmd_lead_submitted, then connect PreviewMD, then send a test event. If you connect first and see nothing, the integration is almost certainly working and the goals are almost certainly missing. That is a Plausible behaviour rather than anything PreviewMD controls.
How it connects

Connect from the Integrations tab using your site as it is registered in Plausible. That is a bare domain such as yourpractice.com, not a full web address, and pasting a full one is rejected rather than silently ignored.

Add two goals in Plausible under Site Settings, named exactly previewmd_preview_completed and previewmd_lead_submitted. Plausible shows no custom event until a goal with a matching name exists, and it does not backfill events that arrived before you created it.

Does PreviewMD work with Plausible?
Yes. Connect your Plausible site from the PreviewMD dashboard and two custom events are sent from our server: one when a preview finishes and one when a visitor submits their contact details.
Why can I not see the events in Plausible?
Almost always because the goals do not exist yet. Plausible only displays a custom event once you have created a goal whose name matches exactly, and it does not backfill anything received beforehand. Add previewmd_preview_completed and previewmd_lead_submitted under Site Settings.
What do I paste in, the domain or the web address?
The bare domain, exactly as it appears in Plausible. A full web address is rejected so you find out immediately, instead of the events disappearing into a site that does not exist.
Does it work with self-hosted Plausible?
Yes. Give us your instance address and the events go there rather than to plausible.io.
What patient data is sent?
None. No name, email, phone number or photo, on any plan. Naming which procedure was previewed is optional and off until you turn it on.
