How do practices use PreviewMD during consultations?
It replaces imagination with a shared picture. The patient reacts to their own likely surgical result, and the surgeon’s expertise carries the nuance.
Take the photo in the room
Open the widget on a tablet, take the patient’s photo, and continue the consult while the preview renders.
Put it on the screen
In about 3 to 4 minutes the before and after is ready. Show the slider and talk through what the procedure addresses while they look at themselves.
They say yes to their own result
A gallery proves you can do the work on someone else. This is the patient in the chair, looking at themselves, at the moment they decide whether to move forward.

How do practices use PreviewMD during consultations?

Why show a preview in the consult instead of before-and-after photos of other patients?

Does an in-consult preview help patients say yes?
It gives hesitant patients something concrete to react to at the exact moment they’re deciding. A patient who can see a natural, believable direction, and hear the surgeon narrate it, moves from abstract interest to an informed decision faster.
Is the preview clinically credible enough for the consult room?
The AI behind each procedure is fine-tuned with a practicing double board certified plastic surgeon, so previews stay inside what surgery can actually do. And the preview is framed to patients as a visualization supporting the surgeon’s judgment, never as the promised outcome.
Do in-consult previews count against our plan?
They draw from the same monthly allotment as website previews (150, 500, or 1,200 by tier), with extra previews at $1.00. There’s no separate in-consult fee. Full plan details are on the pricing page.
What about patient privacy in the consult?
Same rule as everywhere: photos are processed for the preview and not stored by PreviewMD. Nothing enters a patient record unless your practice puts it there.
Can the surgeon adjust or annotate the preview?
Not at the moment. The preview renders one clinically validated direction per procedure, deliberately: it anchors the conversation, and the surgeon’s expertise carries the nuance.
