Nextmotion vs PreviewMD · Verified August 2026

A Nextmotion alternative that is just the preview, without the platform migration.

Nextmotion is a clinic platform: capture, records, consultation tooling and scheduling, priced from €99 a month, with AI patient previews sold as a separate €399 module on top. PreviewMD does one job, publishes one price from $249 a month, and installs on the website you already have without moving your records anywhere.

Nextmotion

What is Nextmotion?

Nextmotion is a cloud practice platform for aesthetic clinics, covering standardised photo capture, patient records, electronic signature, billing, reminders and, from the Growth plan, scheduling. An iPhone and photo kit come with the pack, so capture does not need a separate camera purchase.

AI patient previews sit outside the base plans as an add-on called Nextmotion Beauty, at €399 a month on top of a subscription starting at €99. Read 19 August 2026.

What Nextmotion does well

They publish their pricing, and more of it than this category usually does: every tier, every add-on, the extra-user rate and the assisted go-live fee, alongside an estimate of what the tools they replace cost separately.

Bundling standardised capture into the subscription is a clean answer for a clinic that wants consistent before-and-afters without buying imaging hardware.

Where Nextmotion falls short

The capability that competes with a preview widget is the most expensive module on the page, so the €99 headline is not the number a practice comparing previews should use.

It is a platform first, built around European practice with euro pricing and HDS-hosted health data, and its examples lead with injectables rather than surgery.

What Nextmotion costs

Nextmotion publishes more of its pricing than almost anyone in this category. The number that matters for a practice comparing it with PreviewMD is not the headline one.

First-party

The plan ladder is public: Starter at €99 a month (1 user, 500 AI minutes, 50 GB storage, self-serve onboarding), Growth at €199, Scale at €449, and a quoted Enterprise tier. Billing is monthly and the page states setup is included. Read on 19 August 2026.

AI patient previews are not in that ladder. Nextmotion Beauty is listed under advanced modules at €399 a month, described as the digital patient journey where patients preview their treatment with AI and the clinic captures qualified leads. Added to the cheapest base plan that is €498 a month. Read on 19 August 2026.

Other add-ons are priced separately again: Nextmotion 3D at €49 a month, a calendar module at €99 and API access at €99, both from the Growth plan, extra users at €29 each, and assisted go-live at €1,000 on Growth or €2,000 on Scale, excluding VAT. Read on 19 August 2026.

PreviewMD

What is PreviewMD?

PreviewMD is an AI preview widget and nothing else. Someone on your website uploads one front-facing photo and sees a photorealistic, anatomically correct before and after of themselves in about three to four minutes. No records to migrate, no scheduling to rebuild, no platform to adopt. Live today: the facelift simulator, the rhinoplasty simulator, and more on the simulators page.

It installs as one script tag on the site you already have, under your branding, and every preview delivers a lead into the CRM you already use. The photo is processed for that preview and never stored.

The widget as a patient meets it on your site. Your branding, your domain, and the privacy answer stated up front. Elite removes the PreviewMD mark entirely.

What PreviewMD does well

It does one job, at one published price, without touching anything else you run. For a practice that already has software it likes, that is the difference between a decision and a project.

The models are fine-tuned with a practicing plastic surgeon, separately for men and for women, and a new simulator ships only after it passes surgeon validation.

Where PreviewMD falls short

Nextmotion runs a practice and PreviewMD does not. No records, no scheduling, no billing, no e-signature, no photo storage, and nothing that replaces the software your front desk lives in. If what you actually want is one system for the whole clinic, we are the wrong purchase and their ladder is worth reading properly.

What PreviewMD costs

$249 per month for Starter with 150 previews included, $449 for Pro with 500, $999 for Elite with 1,200. Extra previews are a flat $1.00 each and the widget never shuts off mid-month. Annual billing is two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, card up front, cancel anytime. No setup fee, no per-patient fee, no hardware.

Which should your practice choose?

Choose Nextmotion if

You want one platform for records, billing, scheduling and capture.
You are replacing several separate tools and counting the total.
Your practice is injectables-led rather than surgical.
You are in Europe and want health data on HDS infrastructure.

Choose PreviewMD if

You want the preview without changing your practice software.
€498 a month is more than you want to spend to show a result.
Surgical procedures drive your revenue.
You want your market closed to competitors contractually.

How switching from Nextmotion works

Adopting Nextmotion is a platform migration, so it is not a like-for-like swap with a widget. If you already run it, the question is narrower: whether the €399 Beauty module is worth more to you than PreviewMD at $249, given you are paying the base subscription either way.

Going the other direction there is nothing to export. PreviewMD holds no records and stores no photos, so removing it is deleting one script tag.

Questions

The questions buyers ask.

Is PreviewMD a Nextmotion alternative?

For the preview itself, yes, and usually a cheaper one. Nextmotion’s AI preview is the Nextmotion Beauty module at €399 a month on top of a base plan starting at €99, so €498 a month before anything else. PreviewMD starts at $249 a month and installs on your existing website. For records, scheduling, billing and e-signature, PreviewMD is not an alternative and does not try to be.

Do I have to change my practice software to use PreviewMD?

No. PreviewMD is one script tag on the website you already have, and leads deliver into the CRM you already use. Nothing about your records, scheduling or billing changes, which is the main practical difference from adopting a full platform.

What is Nextmotion Beauty?

It is Nextmotion’s add-on module for patient-facing AI previews, described on their own pricing page as the digital patient journey where patients preview their treatment with AI and the clinic captures qualified leads. It is priced separately from the platform at €399 a month, so it is the part of Nextmotion that competes with PreviewMD rather than the base subscription. Read 19 August 2026.

Does Nextmotion suit a US practice?

It can, but the fit is worth checking. Nextmotion is built around European practice: pricing is quoted in euros, and their materials describe health data hosted on certified HDS infrastructure, which is a French standard. Their published examples also lead with injectables rather than surgery. None of that rules it out for a US surgical practice, it just means the platform was not shaped around one.

How much does Nextmotion cost?

As of 19 August 2026 their published ladder is Starter €99, Growth €199 and Scale €449 a month, with a quoted Enterprise tier and extra users at €29. AI patient previews are a separate module, Nextmotion Beauty, at €399 a month, so a practice buying Nextmotion for previews starts at €498. Check their page before you budget, because these change.
