ClinicOS vs PreviewMD · Verified August 2026

The ClinicOS alternative with clinical validation behind it.

ClinicOS describes itself as an AI simulation widget for clinic websites with leads delivered to the practice; the same category PreviewMD works in, so the differences that matter are concrete: how renders are validated, where patient data lives, what it costs, and whether your market can be yours alone.

ClinicOS

What is ClinicOS?

ClinicOS is the closest thing to a direct counterpart PreviewMD has. Their own description is an AI simulation widget that runs on the clinic’s website and delivers leads to the practice, with procedure pages covering breast augmentation, breast lift and lip filler, and a speed claim of simulations in under five seconds.

They are new, moving quickly, and publish their own competitor comparison pages, including one against Crisalix.

What ClinicOS does well

Speed is a real advantage. A five-second render never loses the patient to a wait, and for lower-commitment procedures that may matter more than surgical fidelity. Their comparison content is well made and their procedure coverage includes things we don’t offer.

Being early to the embedded-widget category with a working product is not nothing, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Where ClinicOS falls short

We could not find a clinical-validation claim anywhere on their site as of August 2026. Fast image edits and surgeon-validated surgical previews are different products wearing the same category description, and the difference shows up in the consult room when a patient holds you to the picture.

Their own materials describe leads landing in the ClinicOS dashboard, and as of 17 August 2026 their site states HIPAA-conscious design but we found no BAA statement. That is a question to ask them rather than an accusation from us, but it is the question we would ask anyone holding patient contact info and procedure interest.

What ClinicOS costs

ClinicOS publishes its prices, so this is a like-for-like comparison rather than a quote-versus-list one. Their figures below are read from their own pricing page; they ship quickly, so check it yourself before you budget.

First-party

ClinicOS publishes a public price list as of 17 August 2026: Free at $0 (5 AI simulations), Starter $149/month, Pro $349/month, Enterprise custom. Re-verified on their pricing page; in July 2026 no durable public list was found, so check it yourself before you budget. We re-verify this page as their product evolves rather than freezing a number here.

PreviewMD

What is PreviewMD?

PreviewMD is an AI preview widget built around surgical procedures. A patient uploads one front-facing photo on your website and sees a photorealistic, anatomically correct before and after in about three to four minutes. The facelift simulator and the rhinoplasty simulator are covered, with more on the simulators page, and a new one ships only after passing the same surgeon-led validation.

It installs as one script tag under your branding. Every website preview delivers a lead before the result appears, and nothing from the upload is retained once the preview is built.

What PreviewMD does well

The model behind each procedure is fine-tuned with a double board certified plastic surgeon who has spent more than thirty years operating, separately for men and for women. That’s the part nobody copies in a quarter.

Territory exclusivity is available where a market is unoccupied, so a practice can hold its area instead of sitting beside three neighbours running the same widget.

Where PreviewMD falls short

ClinicOS renders in seconds and we take three to four minutes. If your patients abandon a wait that long, that is a real advantage for them and a real cost for us. They also cover lip filler and breast lift, which we do not.

What PreviewMD costs

$249 per month for Starter with 150 previews included, $449 for Pro with 500, $999 for Elite with 1,200. Extra previews are a flat $1.00 each and the widget never shuts off mid-month. Annual billing is two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, card up front, cancel anytime. No setup fee, no per-patient fee, no hardware.

Which should your practice choose?

Choose ClinicOS if

Speed is the priority and a five-second render matters more than surgical realism.
Lip filler or breast lift are central to your book.
You are comfortable with patient leads living in someone else’s dashboard.

Choose PreviewMD if

You want renders from a model a practicing surgeon validated.
You want patient leads in your own systems, not someone else’s.
You want no patient photos retained anywhere.
You want your market closed to competitors contractually.

How switching from ClinicOS works

Both products install as an embed, so the mechanical switch is a script swap. The question worth asking before you move either way is what happens to the patient data already captured: who holds it, whether you can export it, and whether they will sign a BAA covering it.

PreviewMD’s answer is built into how the product works. We don’t store patient photos, and leads are delivered to your systems rather than held in ours, so the data you would want to take with you is already yours.

Questions

The questions buyers ask.

Is PreviewMD a ClinicOS alternative?

Yes; both embed an AI preview widget on a practice website, and both publish their prices. The differences: PreviewMD’s renders come from models fine-tuned with a practicing surgeon’s decades of experience, patient photos are never stored, leads are delivered to your own CRM rather than someone else’s dashboard, and territory exclusivity is contractual. ClinicOS starts lower at $149 a month; PreviewMD starts at $249 with a 14-day trial.

Why do PreviewMD renders take 3-4 minutes when others advertise seconds?

Because they come from a top-tier AI image model tuned and validated for surgical realism, not a fast image-edit pipeline. The preview has to survive a surgeon’s judgment in the consult room, and that’s the standard the model is tuned to.

Where do my patient leads live with PreviewMD?

With your practice. Leads deliver the moment they’re captured, straight into your CRM or EMR by native GoHighLevel, webhook, or Keragon. PreviewMD stores no patient photos, which keeps the compliance conversation simple.

Should I ask a simulation company to sign a BAA?

It is a fair question to put to any company that captures patient contact info and procedure interest, because that combination is generally treated as protected health information. Ask where the data lives, who can access it, and whether they will sign a business associate agreement. PreviewMD answers it by not retaining patient photos and by delivering leads into your own systems, itemised on our privacy and security page.

Is a five-second render better than a four-minute one?

It depends what the render is for. A fast image edit and a surgical preview are different products wearing the same description. PreviewMD’s renders come from a top-tier AI image model fine-tuned with a practicing surgeon’s decades of experience, which is why they take three to four minutes rather than five seconds. Judge both on your own photo before deciding.
